Solace Paw Inc., doing business as SolacePaw (“SolacePaw,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates https://solacepaw.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit the Site, place an order, create an account, subscribe to our communications, submit a review, or otherwise contact us.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

• Contact and order information, such as your name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address, and order details.
• Account information, if you create an account, including account credentials and saved preferences.
• Customization information, such as your pet’s name, breed, markings, special requests, written notes, and the reference photos you upload for a custom product.
• Payment and transaction information. Payments are processed through the payment methods made available at checkout. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
• Communications, including messages, emails, customer-service requests, and feedback you send to us.
• Review information, if you choose to submit a product review or related content.
• Device, usage, and cookie information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, cart activity, approximate location derived from IP address, and interactions with the Site.

Please do not upload photographs or information that you do not have the right to share. Uploaded reference photos may incidentally contain personal information if they include identifiable people.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

• process, fulfill, ship, and support your orders;
• create the custom pet products you request;
• communicate with you about your order, production, delivery, account, or customer-service request;
• process payments and help prevent fraud or unauthorized transactions;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site and our services;
• send marketing emails only where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in the email;
• administer reviews, promotions, and customer feedback; and
• comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect our rights, customers, and business.

3. Service Providers and Disclosure of Information

We share personal information only as needed to operate our business, fulfill orders, and comply with law. Depending on the feature you use, this may include:

• Shopify, which provides our ecommerce platform, storefront, checkout, customer account, and related services;
• Shopify Payments and Shop Pay, which process eligible card and accelerated checkout transactions;
• PayPal, when you choose PayPal at checkout;
• Ymq Product Options, which supports product customization options and the submission of customization information, including uploaded reference photos where applicable;
• TrustShop, which supports product-review features;
• EcomSend, where you choose to subscribe to marketing communications or interact with its subscription features;
• EComposer, which helps us deliver certain storefront pages and content;
• production partners, shipping carriers, and other service providers that help us create, package, deliver, support, or protect your order; and
• government authorities, professional advisers, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud.

We do not sell personal information for money. As of the date above, we do not deploy Google Analytics, Google Ads remarketing, Meta/Facebook Pixel, Pinterest Tag, Criteo, Klaviyo, or Commission Junction tracking on the Site. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and our consent settings before using the relevant technology.

4. Payments

Available payment methods may include Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, and, depending on your device, browser, country, and checkout eligibility, accelerated methods such as Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider. We do not store your complete payment-card information. Apple Pay is not the same as Apple Store in-app payments, and we do not use Apple Store in-app payments, Braintree, or Authorize.net for this Site.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Site to function, including technologies used for cart functionality, checkout, security, customer accounts, language or market preferences, and fraud prevention.

Where required, we use the Site’s cookie consent tools to obtain or manage consent for non-essential technologies. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings, although disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality.

We retain customization notes and uploaded pet reference photos only for as long as reasonably necessary to create and support your custom order, unless a longer retention period is required by law, needed to resolve a dispute, or permitted by applicable law for a legitimate business purpose.

7. International Transfers

SolacePaw is based in the United States. Your personal information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where Shopify, payment providers, or our service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from those in your country.

When required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.

To make a privacy request, email us at support@solacepaw.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time through the unsubscribe link in the email.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar rights, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
